Adriana,
I am not the right person to answer you. I do not have an aquaponics
system. I am on the list to learn about it.
Raul Vergueiro Martin is the right person to answer this.I believe he has
decades of experience with use of poultry manure in hydroponic systems. But,
if you want alot of information, he will probably want to contact you off of
the list.

Raul,
Would you mind addressing this topic?

Sorry about that Peter. I just sent it off again. I have had many requests
for the diagram for this simple NFT trough and for Raul's information on
Biodigesters. If any one did not recieve what they asked for, please let me
know. My email server does't always let me know if something does't make it.

I've searched and searched the internet for "Plastic Steel" trying to find
dealers of the stuff. I can't find anything anywhere! Help!

I got mine from Capitol Agricultural Supply ( CASCO )in Montgomery, Alabama
several years ago. I bought enough to cover the greenhouse twice and stored
the rest until the recover project last year. Saved a bundle on freight that
way.
That brand may no longer exist. Just call CASCO and ask what they currently
reccomend. They have an 800# but I don't have it handy.
The point I tried to make, apparently unsuccessfully, was don't use the stuff
at your local discount house. Go to a reputable greenhouse supplier. You WILL
pay a little more initially, but you will not have to replace your plastic
every few years.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Dave

It is 14' wide and 32' long with a peak height of ten feet, and runs east and west. My first 4'x8' bio-bed is 24" from the west end and is facing north-south length-wise. I started with 3"x4" landscape timbers nailed together creating a 30" wall to get more height from the cold frame. I want to use grooved pine plywood siding to make the unit more visually appeasing. It would also depend on how high your fish density is, and yours isn't high, and how much extra food and algae there is (more waste, more bed space). Considering that yours is 134:128, you're in the right ball park for the fish/gallon that you have.
