I haven't been following the list for some days. Very busy season for me

right now. We just installed an Arizona mist cooling system, a true

fogger, which has been very successful and effective. I would be happy

to give costs and ease of installation information to any who are

interested. We had installed a mist system last year which was very

expensive, very labor intensive to install, and very very wet. It cooled,

but was bad for the plants and used excessive amounts of precious water.

So we have learned the hard way. Anyone interested in a cooling mister. I

would be glad to work up a very good price. Prospective buyers would need

to have lots of water and crops that can stand lots of water.

Thanks Gail,

My understanding is that a good fog system will drop the ambient

temperature by 10 degrees in a humid climate like Florida and a lot more

in drier areas. What has your experience been in Oregon?

Does your system work in conjunction with cooling pads and fans or is it

independent of these?

Hello Gail,

I have been sort of a bystander...trying to learn. Where are you in Oregon?

Would you be willing to have visitors? What type of set up do you have?

What are you growing?

Would love to see it...if possible!!

Jennifer

Doug and Jose:

We are engaged in a start-up commercial Aquaponics, Pastured

Poultry, Fruit/Berries and Vermiculture operation. We

curently have the outside planting 50% complete but were

slowed down by upgrading the irrigation pump

electrical/controls, installing/constructing irrigation

distribution and preparing ground which is overgrown due to

being fallow for over seven years.

We will be in-residence on the farm near Fowler, CO in the

next couple weeks. After looking at properties in Nebraska,

Missouri and Kansas and having several deals fall through,

we found this place and we were lucky to find sellers who

would let us get started before we took possession!

David, hang in there and you'll eventually find a place that

will be better than the others that didn't work out for you!
