dear victoria--

no matter whose system you chose for on-line monitoring, the first

consideration is the amount of time & energy you will have to spend in

maintaining & calibrating the electrodes. whenever i look for new equipment

i always ask for names & addresses of others who have bought the models

offered & contacted them for comments.

in our seawater facility, we monitor O2 &c generally w/ hand held devices

and have a warning system that identifies mechanical failures like low-no

flow rates, electrical failures on critical sysetms, O2 pressues in

oxy-lines, &c.

there wil be any number of reasonable answers depending on your system

conformation & the availability locally of someone to service whatever

devices you dicide to purchase.

another major consideration is to keep you warning-monitor system as simple

as possible.

good luck,

sam
