According to Skip Bason (Owner of Delmarva Aquatics a Delaware based

research company and my former college instructor), freshwater clams are

edible (he has eaten a few). However, he told me that they (the

clams) tasted really awful! Still, they could be useful in filtering

out dissolved particulates (from our aquaculture tanks).

Had to share this

Just got our State Of Florida Aquaculture permit - suitable for framing

indeed.  I'm so pumped.  I guess that means they trust us with these

non-native critters.
