The Integrated Bio-Systems Forum discussed chinampas in 1998 and you may

also find some useful information in the searchable archives at

http://segate.sunet.se/archives/et-w1.html

I will be in London for the "Expert Group Meeting on Waste Management in

Small Island Developing States" (2 to 5 November 1999)

and have Nov. 1st and 6th Nov. as free days to make visits. I hope to visit

the living machine at Body Shop International, Littlehampton in Southern

England

There is another Living machine in the Earth Centre but have to figure out

which is nearer to London.

I like to locate someone near London who may be operating an aquaponic

system (greenhoused plant and aquaculture system). So suggestions are most

welcomed.

Now we're there! I bookmarked this puppy for sure!

Looks like the agricultural counterpart to Habitat for Humanity.

Way to go Adriana!

Muchos Gracias!

Actually, they are the parent company, I believe, for the Habitat movement.

I met one of their board members here (at the farmers market) during the

ribbon cutting for their first Habitat house here in West Plains. Wherever

they travel for Habitat they also do their research and make contacts for

the ag efforts. Quite a remarkable group

Really? I had no idea. The guy that started Habitat for Humanity was from

Georgia..was it Milford Fuller?...something like that....I can't recall...
