I once was on a greenhouse tour, and the operator shook his finger at
us novices and said, "always remember that people will pay more for
ornamentals than for food!  Why grow a lettuce for $2 when the same
space and time will grow a fern for $6?"

Do you all think this is true?  Is it also true for fish?  I know
there is a huge market for decorative plants, but could the hobby fish
market absorb regular doses of an entire race way full of high quality
guppies, angelfish, mollies, decorative snails, etc....?
