My well water is chorinated and fitered.but still has some iron oxide
and chlorine in it. I was wondering how pure it has to be for aqua
phonic use ? Also if anyone has a rust problem I could share my filter
discoveries , it took me a while to clear up our well water without
spending tons of money on ready made equipment. My family and myself
endured rusty water for about nine years. After that I would help
anyone break free from that mess. That experience has created a real
interest in water quality and water in me. In my spare time what there
is , I am trying to learn all I can about water. I dont have all the
answers, but I will share anything that I have found out on the subject
with anyone . Any sugestions would be sincerely appreciated. Bill B.

Have a Great Day

Bill,

You should have your water tested for suitability for
hydroponics/aquaponics. Ted suggested Hydrogardens, you can also send
samples to Scott's Laboratories or another outfit in Athens, Ga.

Please do share your experiences on removing iron from well water.
That is a major problem in Alabama and I'm sure in other parts of the
world. In addition to being unsuitable for irrigation, the iron plugs
emmitters and supply lines.
